About Us
Founded in 2009, Millions of Meals is a South African nonprofit organization committed to combating hunger and malnutrition in underprivileged communities. Through the provision of nutritious meals and educational programs on healthy eating, we aim to transform lives and create a hunger-free South Africa. With a focus on collaboration, sustainability, and integrity, we work hand-in-hand with individuals, corporations, and organizations to bring hope and nourishment to those who need it most
At Millions of Meals, we believe that access to nutritious food is a fundamental human right and a cornerstone of a thriving society.
Our mission goes beyond just feeding people; we are dedicated to empowering communities by addressing the root causes of food insecurity. By partnering with schools, churches, and other local organizations, we ensure that our meals reach the children and families who need them the most. Currently, we provide 5000 meals per month, consisting of nutrient-rich instant maize porridge for breakfast and a hearty soya stew with starch for lunch. However, our vision extends far beyond this—we strive to increase our reach to 2 Million meals per yearand more, with the support of generous donors and partners.
Through our efforts, we aim not only to alleviate hunger but also to reduce malnutrition and improve overall well-being. We recognize the importance of sustainable practices and have incorporated eco-friendly initiatives, such as greenhouse farming and recycling, to ensure that our mission leaves a positive impact on both people and the planet. Millions of Meals is more than just a feeding program; it is a movement to build a better, more equitable future for South Africa’s most vulnerable communities.

Our Team
Millions of Meals was founded in 2009 by Mr. Hans Steyn Snr and is now led by Annette Steyn and a very dedicated team and volunteers together, our team is dedicated to combating hunger and malnutrition in South Africa through innovative solutions, strong partnerships, and a shared passion for making a difference.
The Impact of your support
Millions of Meals is a registered nonprofit with a Level 1 B-BBEE Certificate and Public Benefit Organization status, enabling us to issue Section 18A tax-deductible certificates for donations. All contributions go directly to feeding underprivileged communities, schools, and other selected beneficiaries. We guarantee transparency by providing donors with delivery confirmations, ensuring their support creates meaningful and measurable impact.
